Elegua is the Orisha of the Crossroads. He represents the beginning and the end of life, and the opening and closing of every pathway. He loves offerings of candy, toys, cigars, toasted corn, coconut, alcohol, smoked fish, and red palm oil. His colors are red and black. His significant number is three. Elegua is always consulted first because he holds the key to all communication with the other Orishas.
