About The Village Mystic

My vision has always been about living my life and walking my spiritual path at the same time. I consider myself a Shaman. The traditional role of the Shaman was the village or tribes healer and spiritual advisor. That is the life I have always lead and now it’s time to really make myself available to the rest of the “Village”.

In these modern times there is just as much need for the Shaman or Healer as ever. With the state of our communities and world we have even more need for the spiritual in our lives. Thus the first part of the “vision” is to make myself available to everyone interested in what I do.

The second part of the vision is to create a community center for the spiritually minded to come together and work as one to one to better our community and our world.

As the New Year starts I’m finding myself needing to vocalize and set down my path. I’m a neo-pagan but I feel I’m a bit outside mainstream neopaganism; I’m a light worker, I practice Reiki, I’m an empath, and a Shaman.

I’m also something beyond all of those concepts- an “out” Mage. I let people know I’m a will worker and have no qualms sitting and discussing the “occult” with non-believers and the general public. I feel it’s time to step outside our secretive ways and stand in the light.

So what might make me any different than any other pagan? Maybe nothing but I’m still going to type this out.

  1. Speak the truth about all matters of importance. I believe there is room in my life for little white lies, common courtesies, but never if asked directly and never if answering a question of importance to the questioner. I will also never add to another persons delusions. Clarity and reason are the hallmarks of who I am.
  2. Defend myself and others. There are forces out there who wish others harm. From misguided people to demonic forces and we should be aware of this threat.
  3. Do not manipulate others for any reason. We are all entitled to our free will, even if it takes us down dark paths and causes. It is my path to show them the way back when they ask for it. This goes for people in this realm and all others.
  4. Cause no one harm or suffering. We all think of harm as physical but harm is also mental and spiritual. The old Witch’s Rede goes “An it harm none, Do as ye will” Take that to heart, and remember that everything we do comes back to us eventually. No one is immune to Karma.
  5. Never make another worry out of fear or paranoia. This comes under the Heading of do no harm. Threatening others is wholly against our way.
  6. I will love all and bring healing wherever I can. That’s a huge statement but none the less true.
